The pets visit Co-op!

We had a fun play date with some of the animals from our local pet store, A Place for Pets. I was lucky enough to have my camera with me that day at Co-op. We were excited to see cute and cuddly gerbils, birds and hamsters. Then they brought out the other animals: a snake, a scorpion, and a tarantula. Here is Samuel holding one half of Bonney while I supported the other half. Bonney is a python who could have easily wrapped herself around me! At one point we had three kids holding her at once.

It was so fun to see the kids so fascinated with the different animals. The birds were the class favorite, but some kids really liked the python. It was a memorable day for all!

Yes, there is a tarantula on my leg. They tried to make me hold it, but I just couldn't. However, I did allow her to crawl on my leg. I will admit that she was kind of pretty in her spider way. I was very brave.

My Mom

We wish Mom were still here to watch Alivia be pulled in the sled during our winter excursions in the Cascades. We miss her when we're playing: Stick Out Your Tongue When Dad Says, "Cheese!" with the new camera. I ache that she can't watch Alivia and Adison grow up. But we know her love stays with us and that Addison knows Nonni Angel will keep the bad dreams away every night.
