Winter Fun with Cousins

More winter fun before the birthday season begins…

Our wonderful Parrish Grandmas

We took the time to see each of Myles’s grandmas on this trip.  Boy were we lucky!  The kids had fun, and Myles and I had a good time catching up.  We are so blessed to have each woman in our lives: LaVern is a tell-it-like-it-is spitfire of a woman :), and Golda is as sweet as her name.  Myles loves them so much, and we were so glad to spend time with them over the holidays.

Fun in Logan 2009

Christmas morning was so exciting!  We squeezed some good fun before heading back to Salt Lake.IMG_0352 IMG_0355 IMG_0358 IMG_0353 IMG_0362 IMG_0371 IMG_0386 IMG_0372 IMG_0384

Christmas Eve proved to be a wonderful time, as usual!  We had some heartwarming stories, fun despite the off key songs, and great laughs.  It was SO nice to see everyone, and I enjoyed that Holly and I had company in our nauseous misery!

Boy did we have fun! 2009 SLC

IMG_0307 We were in for a treat at the Olive Garden.  Thanks, Nana!

IMG_0314    IMG_0315IMG_0397 Livvy sure does love her uncle!

IMG_0298 She took a great liking to Tama’s cousin, Karma.  Karma mostly loved Livvy as well.  :)

IMG_0299 I think that there wasn’t a better way to entertain the kids at Christmas than this.  Grandad got out his boyhood train, and they spent hours fixing the track, playing with the cars, and blowing the whistle.  What a great bonding experience for the boys.  Addi can’t wait to go back and run it again – tree or no tree!

A Little boxing fun!

Last Thanksgiving, we got some friends together for some fun with the Wii.  This has proven to be good entertainment for both the kids and us adults.  Alivia, Brooke, and Laura were excellent cheerleaders, and Samuel stole the night’s title for best boxer. –That boy just didn’t quit, much to Addison’s amazement and dismay.  Next time, maybe we’ll try out some Olympic events…

Sentences I never thought I'd hear, brought to you by Alivia

Mama, can I pee on my gum?

Uh-oh, mama, there is enchawada in my milk!

I put bubbles on my face! Mama, I shaved with Daddy's razor very carefully. It not owie.

I want to eat Ligntning McQueen. Get in my belly!

Oopsie me!

Dad, don't tickle me, my utereus not like that.

My Mom

We wish Mom were still here to watch Alivia be pulled in the sled during our winter excursions in the Cascades. We miss her when we're playing: Stick Out Your Tongue When Dad Says, "Cheese!" with the new camera. I ache that she can't watch Alivia and Adison grow up. But we know her love stays with us and that Addison knows Nonni Angel will keep the bad dreams away every night.
