Happy Dancer Girl!

Alivia was enjoying her new hat from Aunt Wendy. I got my camera out and had fun snapping a few while she was dancing. What a cutie!! Actually, I was lucky to get a picture of her laughing. She never poses for the camera, so our photo session was truly rare.

Addison's Birthday!!

Indiana Addi
What a wonderful day we had as our son celebrated his 6th birthday. He has blessed our lives in so many ways: his smile touches our hearts, and his kindness creates a strong bond in our family.

What a talented boy he has grown up to be! I have so enjoyed his baby dancing and his littly boy charm. He is also such an athlete. We all love going to his games and seeing the joy on his face if anyone on his team scores a goal.

Myles and he share a love of Calvin and Hobbes. It is so cute to watch them snuggle in bed and take turns reading the comics.

Addison freely shares his laughter with us all, and we are so lucky that we get to be his parents! Thank you, Addison, for all the fun you bring into our lives.

On his way to another goal.

Six cheers for the birthday boy.

The Kids on Easter

We had a wonderful time searching for jelly beans and M&Ms in the front room. This was the first time that the Easter Bunny left candy out and not inside eggs. The kids were so excited as it was easy to see and the room was full of candy. Their eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning. Alivia was so happy that she started twirling!

Alivia the tired princess

Alivia decided that a good way to occupy her time tonight would be to stamp herself. (Myles and I were cooking Japanese food and otherwise occupied.) She got out the princess stamp set and inked up. To complete the look, she took out a blue pen and put eyelashes over her eyebrows and lines under her eyes. What a beauty!! She was quite taken with herself. Addi, however, was not. His flat response to her exuberant shouts of: "I'm a princess!" was simple: "You are a tired princess with bags under your eyes."

(Luckily, she doesn't know what that meant and twirled happily.)

My Mom

We wish Mom were still here to watch Alivia be pulled in the sled during our winter excursions in the Cascades. We miss her when we're playing: Stick Out Your Tongue When Dad Says, "Cheese!" with the new camera. I ache that she can't watch Alivia and Adison grow up. But we know her love stays with us and that Addison knows Nonni Angel will keep the bad dreams away every night.
